It's not just a word. It's a wink. Miel means “honey” in French — a nod to our sweet, golden approach to life, and our love for real, indulgent ingredients. Lou is a name we call each other (It's a story that requires a cocktail), grounding our French-inspired creations in something far more personal. Together? Mielou is a little luxe, a little playful — exactly how we think dessert should be.
A Little Shell. A Lot of Heart.
It started when someone told Melissa macarons were "too hard to make." Challenge accepted. Dozens of batches later — some flops, some phenomenal — she'd mastered the delicate balance of shells and ganache. Jennifer was there for every taste test, flavor brainstorm, and "you have to try this" moment. When the macarons got too good to keep to ourselves, we had two options: start a business or eat them all. We chose Mielou.
